DBS Install has developed a Dealer / Technician search feature which allows a web site user to select the product they are interested in purchasing or having serviced and then locating a company in their area which provides that service. A user will enter their zip code and select a radius range for which to search. If your companies zip code or any of your virtual locations are within the specified range, and you provide the type of products or service the user is seeking, your company will be listed in the search results.
Since so many companies cover very large territories as their local area, we have allowed companies to submit more then one zip code. Each zip code should be thought of as a virtual store or service shop.
It is not necessary to submit zip codes which are adjacent to each other.
If your city has several zip codes we only need one.
Think of a series of circles.. Provide us with the zip codes at the center of those circles and you will be included in search results from within those circles.
Please do not list every zip code you cover. You only need to list a zip code every 20 to 30 miles or so.
By using 10 virtual locations a company could cover almost the entire southern part of TX and still appear to be within 30 miles of almost any user who is using the Search page. These circles are 60 miles across. This area is about 350 x 250 miles across.
