Worker Safety and Cable Routing Policy
EZTV means to provide the best service, and bring the most valued installation possible for our customers. But like most things, there are some conditions and limitations in the scope or work for any service provided by EZTV.
1) Elevated Work Areas: In accordance to OSHA regulations, any work requiring a technician to disembark a ladder to access a roof requires fall arrest gear. All Standard and Premium Package cable routing and mast installation work shall not require a technician to get off a ladder to navigate a roof or other elevated work area. Any installation work which does require "off ladder" work may result in additional charges to offset increased time and risk associated with working at elevated heights. Your installation technician will discuss any additional charges, if any, upon surveying the installation location. Any additional charges are paid directly to the technician, at the time of service.
2) Hazardous Enclosed Areas: Typical enclose areas include Attics and Crawls Spaces. Any area containing material(s), standing water, or animal life which may present a danger to technicians may be considered too hazardous for safe entry. To avoid hazardous areas, your technician may not be able to route cable or install the satellite dish mast as requested by customer.
3) Concrete Boring: Any labor and(or) equipment rental required to drill or bore a hole through concrete shall not be part of a Standard or Premium Installation. Your installation technician will discuss any additional charges, if any, upon surveying the installation location. Any additional charges are paid directly to the technician, at the time of service.
4) Wall Fishing: A standard wall fish, including those provided as part of a Premium Installation Package, only applies to hollow walls with a single continuous cavity from wall header to desired wall access point. Insulation and framing blocks (fire stops ect).. will increase the time associated with a standard wall fish and may result in additional charges. Your installation technician will discuss any additional charges, if any, upon surveying the installation location. Any additional charges are paid directly to the technician, at the time of service.
5) Ladders: For safe ladder use, all ladders must be placed on secure and level ground, or shimmed to create a level, stable platform for ladder feet. Any ladder use on uneven ground may result in additional charges to compensate technician for excessive time and risk associated with such work. In extreme cases, your technician may be unable to safely set up a ladder and your installation design may be modified to accommodate. Your installation technician will discuss any additional charges, if any, upon surveying the installation location. Any additional charges are paid directly to the technician, at the time of service.
6) Trenching: When associated with a ground post installation, cable trenching depth is usually 6". A customer request to place cable deeper then 6" may result in additional charges. Your installation technician will discuss any additional charges, if any, upon surveying the installation location. Any additional charges are paid directly to the technician, at the time of service.
7) Animals: No one ever expects the family pet to bite someone. However, it does happen. Technicians often carry large boxes with a restricted view of what's in front of them. Curious cats and dogs can accidentally pose a tripping hazard. Dogs and cats can leave the home though an open door or gate. While your technician will take every precaution to keep required doors and gates closed, dogs and cats can get out. For the safety of your technician and family pet, please secure all animals when your technician arrives.
8) Children: For the safety of your children, and the technician, please ask your children to avoid ladders, service vehicles, and touching any tools. Some of which can be very sharp.
9) Adult Presence: EZTV requires that an adult be present at all times during the installation process.
